Kia ora and congratulations on your pregnancy! I am Florence, a self employed midwife working in West Auckland. I love working with women and their families in this wonderful time. Birth and motherhood can be incredibly empowering events for women if they are treated with respect and can make informed choices throughout. To help facilitate this, I work in partnership with you and your family during your pregnancy, labour and birth and after baby is born. As a midwife, I believe that birth is a normal life event and will work with you to promote physiological processes but will always involve other medical professionals to keep you and baby safe if needed as this is my main priority. I take a small caseload of women to provide you with a high standard of care while having time for my own family and friends. My backup midwife is Shannon Curreen and our clinic is in Te Atatu.
