Congratulations on your pregnancy! My name is Melanie and I am a LMC Midwife and a Registered Nurse. I am passionate about women’s health, particularly in pregnancy, labour & birth and the postnatal period. It is a joy to share in the journey with women and partners as their families grow. Providing individualised care, unique to each woman is important in ensuring an enjoyable transition to becoming a mother. We have an admired maternity system in New Zealand where midwives like myself are highly skilled practitioners specialising in the normal while also recognising and referring to obstetric care if needed. I live in Mahurangi West with my family on a small block of land with an assortment of animals. I love spending time in the garden.
