Donna Foote

I have been working as a midwife in Hawke's Bay for 30 years and have enjoyed providing maternity care services in home and hospital . I was previously working as a nurse in Hastings Hospital and travelled to England to train as a midwife. I am experienced in all areas of midwifery offering homebirth and waterbirth and also providing care in complex situations. My philosophy supports active labour and birth, protecting the normal experience and encouraging low intervention birth experience, aiming for a peak emotional life experience. I am a mother of two grown children and now a beautiful grandson. I love the reward of supporting the journey to parenthood, such a special time, helping support your dreams and plans for your birth and early parenting. I love to be active and enjoy most outdoor activities, gardening and of course my dog!
