About Me

Congratulations on your pregnancy, my name is Nicci and I work alongside women and families based in Queenstown and surrounding areas. I provide women-centred, supportive, evidence-based holistic care that allows you to make informed decisions during your pregnancy journey. My passion is primary, home, and water birth, empowering women to birth where they feel safe, through shared knowledge and provision of clinically safe care. If you or your baby require specialist obstetric care, this is completed in collaboration with Invercargill or Dunedin Hospital teams as required. Prior to midwifery, I was an employed paramedic for 18 years, delivering babies in a variety of situations and settings. Being a mum myself I love that I have the privilege to be with families experiencing the joy and excitement of pregnancy and childbirth where every birth is a true privilege to be part of. How to Get Hold of Me

I provide full pregnancy care including pre-conception, antenatal, labour, birth, and postnatal care. I work as part of a small supportive team of caseloading midwives based at Queenstown Maternity Unit. Midwifery care is provided 24/7 as clinically indicated and discussed with you more at the time of booking. Within the caseload team of midwives, we have regular days off call, take annual leave, and complete education and study days as required. When this happens, your care is covered by other midwives within the team.
