Congratulations on your pregnancy! Every woman is entitled to have the information and support to make choices around her pregnancy and birth that are completely right for her and her family. It is a Midwife’s job to listen, guide and support the woman to make these choices. I feel very privileged to be a part of this age-old profession and all the joy and challenge it presents. I have three children of my own so have seen firsthand how important good midwifery support is and how rewarding it can be. I thoroughly support the continuity of care model. I work between Pukerua Bay and Johnsonville/Newlands and am happy to support births at Kenepuru Maternity, Wellington Hospital or at home. I hold antenatal appointments at our clinic rooms in Porirua during school hours, however I do understand that this is does not work for all people however and am happy to discuss other arrangements when necessary. Our team also provide 24 hour midwifery care through our 0800 number.
