Nicky Brown (Mecchia)

I have been a Midwife now for 20 years, working in a variety of settings. I have worked in large secondary and tertiary care facilities both in New Zealand and overseas. My passion though, is working in the community with women and their families and being involved in their childbearing journey. I learn so much from Women, their families, my colleagues and from ongoing education. I enjoy sharing this knowledge and experience to help women make informed choices towards a safe and empowering journey. I am constantly in awe of what Women are capable of! I have a clinic room at River Ridge East Clinics at 39 Puutikitiki St, next to River Ridge East Birth Centre in Hamilton east. My clinic days are Monday afternoons and Wednesdays. I work in partnership with Leanne Mackie to provide continuity of care 24/7 to women in the Hamilton Area. I am a member of the New Zealand College of Midwives and participate in regular education and review
