Congratulations! Am I the right midwife for you? Let’s find out... My own birth wishes went very off-piste so I know 1st hand the importance of good midwifery care and support. I want you to always feel like the most powerful person in the room and feel heard. This isn't my birth, it’s yours. My role is to give you the info and tools you need to make the important choices, optimise your health during pregnancy and also enhance your birth experience. My philosophy is that birth is a natural life event and it is my belief that medical intervention should only be utilised when needed. Saying that, I am very experienced in providing all aspects of midwifery care as I’ve worked in the UK and in NZ for 15 years as a gynae nurse, hospital midwife and finally a clinical charge midwife. I have been a LMC in Nelson for the past 2 years. I work within a small team of 3 and we all each have at least 10 yrs experience in all settings.
