Manaaki Midwifery Team, Nelson DHB
Choosing a midwife is one of your first important pregnancy decisions to make. Finding someone to provide a good partnership with you and your whānau, supporting your choices and making you feel at ease, so I would like to introduce myself to help you decide if I am the right one for you! I love being a midwife, a career I choose in 1994 following the births of my 3 children, working in England and Australia & now delighted to be in Nelson joining my daughter and my new grandchild - it’s great being a Nana! I’m very passionate about my work, confident in what I do, women centred, and will support births at home, Nelson Hospital or Motueka Birth Centre. I will discuss all options of care with you, and give you the support you need to make informed choices, and act as a strong advocate for you to achieve the birth outcomes you desire. I have a lively personality, which combined with a good sense of humour, will help you relax and make the very best of this most important stage in your life.
How to Get Hold of Me
I work as part of a newly formed team of 4 midwives called The Manaaki Midwifery Team and we are employed by Nelson Hospital as caseload midwives. As we are newly formed, we currently have vacancies. My practice partner is the lovely Toni James, and we work alongside the partnership of Caitlin Bailey and Annie Palmer. Please complete the form below or text 0220115910 and I will get in contact with you as soon as I can. It would really help if you could let me know the date you think your baby is due, where you live and a little about yourself. I commence my new role on 30th November, but will respond to you before this.
