Rangi Pou

About Me

Congratulations on your pregnancy! No doubt this is an exciting time for you and your family. My name is Rangi Pou. I have three children of my own, which like many midwives was the catalyst to me pursuing a career in midwifery. I studied at AUT and graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science (Midwifery) in 2013. Since then I have worked at Waitākere Hospital and maintain some hours there. Choosing the right midwife is important. Luckily there are lots of great midwives so you are bound to find a good match. My practice is evidence based and woman-centred. I believe my job is to give you the appropriate information to support your decision making, as ultimately this is your journey. I do not advocate unnecessary intervention, however I tend to err on the side of caution. Providing culturally safe and quality care is important so I only take a small case load of women. My clinic is in Glendene, and I only deliver at Waitākere Hospital
