Toni Strand

Hi my name is Toni and I am a LMC midwife living in Otaihanga on the Kāpiti Coast. I moved to Kāpiti to take up a teaching career however became interested in midwifery after receiving wonderful midwifery care myself and becoming involved in and passionate about childbirth education. I love working with women and families to provide support and guidance through pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period (6 weeks after baby is born). You can be faced with an overwhelming amount of information over this time and I want you to feel supported and well informed when making decisions that feel best for you. Most importantly I aim to provide individualised care that is specific to your needs and circumstances. I have been working in partnership with my wonderful colleagues at Kāpiti Midwives for eight years now, am an active member of the NZ College of Midwives and I look forward to meeting you!
