About Me

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I have been based in Queenstown since 2004 and have over 10 years experience here in the Wakatipu. I have also worked in a range of other midwifery settings from Kaikōura (2012) to Greymouth, to Auckland City Hospital. I love my role working within our unique and growing community. I believe passionately in women receiving safe, supportive, informative, and unbiased care throughout their pregnancy and birth, to enable you and your partner to make confident, fully informed decisions for your labour/birth and into your new parenting experience. While having my own babies I faced some of the tough challenges and decisions unique to women who live in this region. I feel that I now have a broader perspective to better provide thorough, one-on-one care to ensure that you and your partner feel empowered and knowledgeable throughout the pregnancy, and ready to meet your new baby.

How to Get Hold of Me

I am flexible and (usually) accessible by phone or email. I know it’s hard to choose who is right for each individual to have as your midwife, I am happy to speak to you and answer questions about the type of care you are looking for. My team and I only take on a small number of women each month in order to provide thorough, safe, one-on-one continuity of care. If your pregnancy care requires an obstetrician, I can refer to and work in collaboration with the obstetric teams at Southland and Dunedin Hospitals. I look forward to hearing from you.
