Kia ora and congratulations on your hapūtanga and for some, welcome to the journey of parenthood! I am a Community Kaiwhakawhanau/Midwife privileged to be providing full midwifery care to wāhine and their whānau in the Wairarapa of where I am born, raised and reside with my Tane and our 5 tamariki. My passion is being able to tautoko Tangata Whenua throughout this journey incorporating kaupapa Māori traditions and approaches both within your whare or hospital. Myself and practice partners Caroline and Lucetta, believe that the sharing of knowledge throughout this journey is an important value of our care and fundamental in restoring mana in our wāhine toa to trust in their ability to birth without or with minimal intervention and also makes for building a strong, trusting relationship.
