Mary Ritchie

Hi there I have been a midwife since 2001 and love my job. I am passionate about caring for women and their families on the journey to parenthood. I believe for most women pregnancy and childbirth are normal life events and I see my role as one of support and education so that you can make the right choices for you and your baby. However some women have more challenging pregnancies and I enjoy supporting women and acting as advocate for them in the medical/institutional world. I am happy to provide care for home, hospital and waterbirths. I have five children, four delightful grandaughters and three little grandsons. I was a nurse before I became a midwife.
