Kia ora and congratulations! My name is Lisa and I am a community-based midwife with Shoreline Midwives, a fantastic team of midwives. I am Mum to 2 awesome kids, based in New Brighton. I hold weekly antenatal clinics at Piki Te Ora (Linwood Ave) & St George's. After your baby is born postnatal care is provided in your home for 4-6 weeks. I provide 24/7 emergency care and work alongside the hospital and medical teams as needed. Pregnancy and childbirth are significant journeys for women and whānau, each individual and unique. I work to provide individualised evidence-based care with open discussions and information sharing to support you during this special time. I work with women to encourage and facilitate the involvement of fathers and whānau during your maternity journey, as guided by you. I support women to birth at home, St George's Maternity, Rangiora Maternity Unit and Christchurch Women's Hospital. I support and promote water birth. I am epidural certified.
