Tēna koe & a huge congratulations on your pregnancy. What an absolute blessing! My name is Tania & I am a māmā to eight Māori-Samoan tamariki. I whakakapapa to Waikato Tainui (Ngāti Tahinga), Ngāpuhi (Ngāti Hine), & Te Whānau ā Apanui & am currently working in South Auckland with a group of six midwives who passionately support home births, or births at the very place I was born, Papakura birthing unit. If needed we work together with the obstetric team to provide specialised care. I love South Auckland & am passionate about working with the women & whānau in my community to provide a safe space where they feel respected, educated, & empowered to make informed decisions that are unique to their pregnancy, birth, & postpartum experience.
