Hi, I'm Melissa. Congratulations on your pregnancy! You are in for an amazing journey, and I would feel privileged to share this special time with you. I am a mum to three children, two daughters who are 20 and 17 and my son who is 12 years old. I like to keep things 'light' and fun, and love to laugh, but don't worry, I know when to be serious as well! I care for women during pregnancy, labour and birth, and the postnatal period (up until your baby is 5 weeks old). I offer homebirth, and birth at Taranaki Base Hospital. I am also happy to support women wishing to have a waterbirth. I believe that it is important to give you the information you need, so you can make decisions that are best for yourself and your baby, and I will support you in these decisions. My aim is to help you achieve a positive and satisfying birth experience. I also support partners to be involved in this journey alongside you as much as you are comfortable with. I look forward to meeting you!
