Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am a mother to 3 wonderful (grown up) children and Oma to my adorable grandson. I qualified as a midwife in UK in 2003 and have practised in a variety of settings both in UK and NZ both as a core midwife and LMC. I am as comfortable attending a home birth as I am providing high risk midwifery care. It is a privilege to provide care that promotes and supports that all-important partnership between midwife and woman/whānau during the wonderful journey to motherhood. Childbirth is a normal life event and I will be there to support, guide, assist, empower or just be present according to your wishes and needs. Equally I respect women's choice of place to give birth, be it at home or in a hospital environment and look forward to offering safe provision of care during your journey to motherhood. My practice partner is Jill Beckett and we work as part of the recently formed DHB Manaaki midwifery team. I look forward to meeting you!
