Congratulations on your pregnancy. Pregnancy and childbirth, for most women is a normal life event and I see my role as a supporter and facilitator of this journey, providing education and care for whichever environment you wish to birth in. I have been a midwife since 1999 and have practised in both the hospital as a core midwife and as an LMC in the community. I live in Dunedin with my husband and two teenage children who continue to keep me busy and involved in their school and sports activities! I am currently employed as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Midwifery at the Otago Polytechnic so I also have a very special role in supporting and facilitating learning for midwifery students. I am also currently appointed to the Midwifery Council of NZ and hold the position as Deputy Chair. This means that I am only able to take a very small caseload of women during the year which I continue to have a real passion for. Please feel free to contact me and we can have a chat.
