I am a lead maternity caregiver (LMC) midwife working throughout Hawkes Bay. Before I was a midwife I was a mother, doula, dental assistant, and breastfeeding counsellor. I was born and raised in Hastings and moved to Canada as a teenager. My family and I moved back to New Zealand several years ago.
I often do home visits antenatally if needed, but I also use a clinic room in Waipawa at the Doctors for rural and Central Hawkes Bay clients. I also have a clinic room at my home in Taradale.
I genuinely love my work and am passionate about healthy pregnancy, birth, and parenting. It is a privilege to work with families and help them to welcome their babies.
I have an interest in alternative and traditional healing and use acupuncture and homeopathy when appropriate. I am comfortable with waterbirth, homebirth, and work alongside medical professionals in the hospital setting as needed.
I am also a lactation consultant (IBCLC) and incorporate this knowledge and role into my midwifery practice
