About Me

Congratulations and welcome to the journey of pregnancy and motherhood. I am a Lead Midwife based in rural Canterbury and am proud to be the rural midwife with an amazing team of other midwives. I have a passion for providing professional and informed midwifery care that is centred around you and your family. I am an advocate for home and primary maternity unit birth as research shows that birthing in these settings reduces unnecessary interventions and has better outcomes for both you and your baby. I also attend labour and birth at Christchurch Women's Hospital when clinically indicated. I provide care from preconception, pregnancy, birth and postnatal care including postnatal only services and shared care with our local private obstetric teams. Area covered is Canterbury - anywhere between Rakaia and South of Christchurch city. I am a member of the homebirth association and actively involved in NZCOM for our region. Outside of midwifery I am a mum with a love of the outdoors.
