Hi my name is Tracey Smith; I trained as a midwife in Aberdeen, Scotland over 25 years ago, but was born in England. I came to New Zealand in 1994 and immediately loved the lifestyle and people so my husband and I emigrated here.
I have been back in role of LMC for last 5 years, previously working as a Clinical Charge Midwife at Waitakere Maternity Unit, specialising in women with complicated pregnancies and births. I love teaching and passing on my midwifery skills. I am passionate about providing expert midwifery care to women but most of all providing a reassurance that i will support them to have a good birth experience even if what they initially planned has to change
Ihave two lovely children who are growing so fast ive got a great sense of humour and love what i do .i m happy to provide care for all types of labour but not a homebirth service
