About Me
I am a case loading community midwife - I work with a wonderful group of midwives called the BirthTreasure Midwifery Group (Aku Huia Kaimanawa) I cover women living between Newlands to Pukerua Bay area.
I am committed to providing full antenatal, labour & birth and postnatal care with a focus on continuity of care for a normal life event. A woman and her whānau's personal and wider family cultural needs are paramount to ensuring a fully involved and wonderful journey through her birthing experience. I will support, nurture, inform and empower the woman and her whānau throughout this blessing of life's journey. I will endeavour to recognise anything outside the norm and seek appropriate advice wherever necessary. Having completed a postgraduate diploma in complex care helps with these situations.
Working in partnership with the participation of the woman and her whanau and my midwifery and obstetric colleagues ensures the treasured birth experience results in a safe and positive outcome for mother & baby.
