Hi and congratulations on your pregnancy. My name is Tania. As a mother and a midwife, I understand and respect that every woman's pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood experience is unique. I believe that pregnancy and birth are an extraordinary normal part of a woman’s life journey therefore I endeavour to provide individualised midwifery care in partnership with woman and their families throughout this journey. I provide continuity of midwifery care to woman throughout the pregnancy, labour and birth and up to six weeks after birth. The care I provide is holistic, evidence based midwifery care, supporting women to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing. Supporting woman to birth in the environment that is most comfortable for them is important so I offer a range of care options including homebirth, birthing at a primary birthing unit such as St Georges, Rangiora and Lincoln, or at Christchurch Women’s. I also support epidural birth and waterbirth.
