About Me

Aotearoa is blessed to have a maternity system where birthing women have choices and midwifery partnerships grow through continuity, shared knowledge, informed consent and mutual respect. The retention of this autonomy was a well fought for battle, I am proud to be a midwife & a part of such an inspiring community. My philosophy is centred around natural birth & ensuring the women and whanau feel supported, informed and in control of their pregnancy and birth experience. I strongly believe that birth is an incredible yet normal life event & feel privileged to support women to birth naturally at home or in a birth centre. Each person has their own individual journey, your safety and that of your baby are my priority, should the need arise for specialised input; I have hospital access to ensure your continuity of care. As a Mum and Nana I maintain a small caseload and schedule some time off to honour my whanau too. I am a member of the Homebirth Collective & am supported by midwives with similar philosophies.
