I am a mother to four beautiful children and a well-experienced midwife. I trained as a nurse and midwife in England from 1998 then moved to NZ in 2005. I am very passionate about my role as Lead Maternity Carer. I have been a Lead Maternity Carer in the Motueka and rural areas since 2005 so I am confident in all settings including home and hospital and have a good understanding of the region and what it has to offer women and their family/whanau. I had my fourth baby at home in 2011 and feel passionate about homebirth but I am also happy to support women to birth in hospitals. I have completed courses in homeopathy, hypnobirthing, waterbirth and many more to enhance my practice towards natural birth but I am open-minded if women choose other options. My recent statistics have demonstrated my clients have very good outcomes with 90% having spontaneous births which is above the national average. I consider myself as a friendly, warm, experienced, professional midwife and look forward to your contact.
