About Me

Congratulations on your pregnancy! My name is Hannah Bowden, I am a mother of one son and am working as a midwife in the Ashburton area. I am passionate about midwifery and about women experiencing quality individualised care throughout their childbirth journey. I provide continuity of care, so that this enables me to support a woman and her family throughout the woman's antenatal, labour/birth and postnatal period to see this journey as a significant and normal life event. My main focus is to support well women to birth at home, or at Ashburton Maternity Centre, but birthing in Christchurch Women's Hospital is supported when clinically needed. I am also passionate about waterbirth. I also provide care for women requiring postnatal only care. I look forwards to hearing from you,
