As a practising midwife for 13 years I have worked as both hospital staff midwife and 24/7 on call LMC midwife. My strong philosophy is to support women in making informed decisions and offer Home, Birthing Centre, Hospital births - plus I am very familiar with water births too. Although I have completed Complex Care training at National Womens Hospital caring for women with medically complicated risk factors, these days my focus is on the physiology of pregnancy, labour and childbirth being normal life events.I believe that is an important combination: Being formally trained to manage complex cases and having a strong belief in the importance of non-intervention and the promotion of natural birthing. Prior to training in Midwifery I worked as a Naturopath for 13 years running clinics, training programmes, and workshops. I find people fascinating and am mesmerised by our uniqueness which is evident from the moment of birth. I enjoy the great outdoors, gardening, reading, music, and I treasure family time.
