About Me

Hello and welcome! I provide maternity care in the beautiful Bay of Islands where I have lived since 1994, raising three now young adult children in our wonderful community. Becoming a midwife was a long term goal for me, choosing to study later in my life. I feel privileged to be able to work in partnership with you throughout your maternity experience. I am surrounded by supportive colleagues that enable me to provide wrap around care to a caseload of 6-8 women per month. We aim to support you and your family to make informed choices during pregnancy, birth and after your baby is born. It is important to me that you feel you have a voice in decision making, what you feel is right for you matters to me. Should you or your baby need specialist care, you will be offered referral for consultation and remain with us for normal maternity cares. I look forward to meeting you!

How to Get Hold of Me

Please use the EMAIL CONTACT FORM BELOW for your initial contact with details such as your full name and date of birth, phone number, where you live and the month your baby is due. I will be in touch as soon as I am able (I may be with someone in labour, or sleeping. Emails may not be checked daily and are for non-urgent contact. Our antenatal clinics for check ups in pregnancy are in various locations across the Bay of Islands. During the corona virus epidemic and lockdown it is a busy, frustrating, unknown and unsettling time for everyone.  Please know you are well cared for.  We have made some changes to the way we work to help us do our jobs and provide continued safe, supportive, wrap-around care for you.  We are working closely with other midwives that you may speak to over the phone or see in person at this time. It is essential that we support each other in reducing the spread of Covid-19.
