I worked as a Registered Nurse in Auckland for five years prior to traveling to the UK to commence my Midwifery Training. After qualifying as a Midwife in 1995, I worked in a very busy teaching hospital in Southampton, which enable me to gain considerable experience in all areas of Midwifery.
I returned to New Zealand in 2002 and after working briefly at North Shore Hospital I joined Hibiscus Coast Midwives and have worked hard to build up the practice to what it is today.
My role as a midwife is to plan women centered care on an individualized basis and adapt that care as each women’s needs change. It is a great privilege to be involved during this very special time and I look forward to helping each family achieve a safe and fulfilling birth experience.
I have a particular interest in Natural Birth and Water Births either at Home, Hospital, or Birthing Unit.
