Lin Pendly

I am an experienced registered midwife, working with four other midwives in Shoreline Midwives practice. I come from a nursing background, qualified as a midwife in 2008, and have been working as a Lead Maternity Carer since. Providing continuity of care and supporting women’s choices during pregnancy and birth is the foundation of my professional philosophy. As a Malaysian-Chinese, I am able to identify with different cultural traditions for pregnancy. I have had the privilege of caring for women from many different ethnic backgrounds, and have learnt to accommodate cultural traditions while providing quality midwifery care. I run an antenatal clinic from my home in Bryndwr, or can arrange home visits as required. I offer a number of birthing options, including home births, water births, primary unit (St George’s Hospital) and Christchurch Women’s Hospital.
