About Me

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am an LMC midwife in New Plymouth. I am the mother of three daughters ranging from 8 to 14 years old. I have experience in both the community and hospital settings. As an LMC midwife I provide care, advice and support antenatally, during labour/birth and throughout the postnatal period. My practice is based on providing evidence based care, which allows the women I work in partnership with to make fully informed decisions about their care, and based on the belief that pregnancy and childbirth are a normal life event. I feel that supporting women in pregnancy and childbirth is a privilege, and I enjoy sharing this journey with a woman and her whānau. I work in partnership with Victoria Robinson, you will have the benefit of two midwives looking after you throughout pregnancy, labour and postnatal care. Victoria and I work in partnership, so throughout your pregnancy you will get to know us both equally.

How to Get Hold of Me

We share responsibilities and alternate roles so that each week one of us will be on routine antenatal and postnatal care and the other will do all urgent care and calls. We feel this has many benefits and we see this as a sustainable way for working for both ourselves and for the families we care for. Being Mothers ourselves we understand the importance of having a strong relationship with your LMC. We will see you antenatally at our clinic in Oakura, and will see you at your home postnatally until your baby is between 5 and 6 weeks. We look forward to hearing from you on 0800 045 045 or mountainmidwives45@gmail.com
