I've been a midwife with Birthworks Midwifery Service since January 2012. I find it a real privilege to work with women and their families during the transition to parenthood, and want every woman I work with to find the information, support and space to make decisions that will help her to parent confidently. I take clients who want to birth at home, at Te Awakairangi Birth Centre in Lower Hutt or at Hutt Hospital. I work hard to ensure they receive holistic care whatever their preferences and needs may be.
I work with a fantastic group of midwives, who provide support and back-up for me and my clients. We have rooms in the central shopping area of Lower Hutt. My practice partners are Julie Thompson, Kelly Jackson, Susie Fothersgill and Jessica Cortese.
I am originally an Aucklander, and love living and working in the Hutt Valley where I spend time drinking coffee, gardening, and weightlifting, knitting, listening to music and keeping up with my daughter, who was born early in 2014.
