I have been a qualified midwife for over 15 years. I gained my Honours Degree in Midwifery from the UK. I spent two years at a high risk London Hospital and 5 years in a stand-alone low risk Midwife Birthing unit.
I emigrated in 2009 with my young family and I love my role as a Midwife, giving comprehensive care from conception to 6 weeks after birth. I am happy and confident in either Birthing unit or hospital settings, managing various types of deliveries such as waterbirths or Epidural management.
I now work back at Kew Hospital on the Maternity ward so have reduced my intake dramatically. This allows me valuable time with my own babies. I am only taking on up to 5 of my repeat clients a year.
I am able to provide good safe care. I do home visits for my ladies and whanau (unless they live near a birthing unit or hospital) . I believe people should be treated the way you would like to be treated yourself.
