Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am a New Zealand trained midwife working in Counties Manukau. Bringing a new life into the world is the most rewarding experience for any family. Women are made for this and I believe in promoting normal birth and helping women achieve a safe and positive birth experience. My role as a midwife in the community is to use my knowledge and skills to educate and support women and their families throughout pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period. The care I provide is women-centred and individualised to each woman and the context in which they live in. I acknowledge that some women may require extra care and by working in partnership alongside women, in conjunction with a wider team of medical professionals if required, I will ensure women receive the best possible care. I am a member of the experienced Safe Hands Midwifery team at Botany Birthing Unit, a group of amazing like-minded midwives and I do my antenatal clinic on Wednesday mornings at Botany Junction Medical.
