About Me

Congratulations on your awesome news! Being a midwife is humbling, privileged and exciting and I’d be delighted to walk this amazing journey with you, providing continuity until 6 weeks after birth. My woman-centred philosophy means each individual woman, baby and family are at the centre of all decisions - not just 'one size fits all'. I'm a huge supporter of keeping pregnancy and birth as normal and natural as possible, however my background means I'm also confident if things are/become complex. I’m down to earth and approachable and the main aim for me is building a trusting relationship with a focus on a safe outcome and a positive, empowering experience. I’ve worked for over 3 years in big, busy hospitals in the UK and Auckland where I gained great experiences in all kinds of normal and complicated pregnancies and births. Since then I’ve been a core midwife at Nelson Hospital for almost 3 years, which means I have great work relationships with doctors, midwives and other local professionals.

How to Get Hold of Me

Feel free to fill out the form, or call or text me. Please include where you live, your approx due date, and what number baby this is for you. This is perhaps the most significant life event you'll experience so it's really important to me that you think we're the right fit... I work very closely with another awesome, supportive midwife which means that if I ever need extra support and when I take time off, you'll be in great hands. Our clinic is in Richmond, and we do an afternoon clinic once per week in Motueka - most of your pregnancy visits will be held in whichever of these suits you best :)
