Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am originally from South Korea and I am a mother of a 8 year-old boy. I used to work as an accountant before I became a midwife. After completion of my midwifery degree at AUT, I worked as a core midwife at Auckland City Hospital to grow further as a registered midwife.

I strongly believe that the midwife’s ability to work in partnership with a woman throughout maternity experience is the paramount quality in the promotion of physiological birth. Therefore, my focus is to achieve midwifery partnership by providing informed choices, continuity of care, woman-centred care and ensuring cultural competence. I am caring, empathetic, and self-motivated. I maintain excellent relationships with women, whānau and other health professionals and remain calm under pressure.

As a midwife, I feel privileged to have an opportunity to provide care throughout your pregnancy, labour, birth and postpartum period. I will work towards a healthy and safe outcome of both you and your baby.

My clinics are held at Birthcare Parnell on Tuesday and at Apollo Health & Wellness, North Shore on Thursday.
