Rebecca Amai

Kia ora, My name is Bex. I provide care as part of a team of midwives, Tapuhi Ahi Kā.

We work as a team and provide shared care throughout your hapūtanga, birth and up to 6 weeks after your pēpi is born. Our vision is to provide safe, effective and individualised care, by providing you with evidenced based information, resources and education so that you can make the best decision for you and your whānau. We are avid believers in upholding tino rangatiratanga, whakamana and achieving overall hauora for all wāhine and whānau, to improve the lives of future generations.

As tapuhi, we promote and protect normal birth. However, there may be times when specialised care from other health professionals is needed, our role in this is to walk alongside you, to advocate and awhi you as you navigate this.

Thank you for considering us to be a part of your journey! He aha te mea nui o te ao, he tangata, he tangata, he tangata.
