My name is Heather and I reside in the King Country region.

My philosophy is that birth is a natural yet hugely significant event. Every midwifery setting should be directed by the mother and family and their desires accommodated to ensure safe, enjoyable and special outcomes. I cherish the unique concept of being a professional friend to the woman and baby throughout her maternity period and it is my intention to inform her of all the resources and services available to every woman during this period.

Post natal support and care is my passionate facet of midwifery care. My skills in this area have been enhanced by qualifying as a Lactation Consultant.

I am a Registered Nurse and Midwife and I instinctively apply sound nursing knowledge to my midwifery practice.

My past midwifery experience entails practising in remote regions in South Africa to working in the busy tertiary setting of Waikato hospital in New Zealand
