Hello! Our team, Justine O'Dwyer, Ari Harris & Me, share the responsibilities of care of our caseload to provide your care. We work across Kaeo/Kerikeri/Paihia areas, with clinics in those areas for wellness check ups in pregnancy, then home visits after your baby is born. Our midwifery philosophies are similar, guiding you through your maternity to parenthood transition with lots of information sharing and education. We support low risk women to birth in primary care settings (at home or BOI Hospital Maternity Unit, Kawakawa). If needed we will transfer with you through to Te Kotuku Maternity Unit, Whangārei Hospital. We aim to help you to make informed choices about your care, working in partnership with you. If you or your baby need specialist care, you will be offered consultation with an obstetrician, while remaining shared care with us for normal maternity cares. Maternity care is free in NZ for those eligible, throughout pregnancy, labour & birth, and up to 4-6 wks after baby is born.
