I’m Tiana, a midwife living in Ōtepoti Dunedin. I work alongside the team at Absolute Midwifery. I am passionate about providing care that is centred on you and your whānau, recognising that everyone’s journey is unique. I welcome those from all cultures and family structures, and value the role that your identity plays during this special time.

My practice is focused on holistic, evidence-based care that values the normal, yet exciting, time that is welcoming a baby. I work closely with wāhine and whānau in shared decision-making to make sure you feel empowered, respected, and fully involved in your care.

I see birth as a natural part of life, and I love supporting physiological birth. I also understand sometimes interventions or alternative care options are needed, and I’m here to guide and support in whatever path is best for you. Whether you choose to birth at home, hospital, or anywhere in between, my goal is to create a safe, nurturing space where you feel confident and cared for.
