Kia Ora! I'm Jana. I have been an LMC Midwife for 10 years here in my hometown of Whangārei. I have two grown children, both of whom were born at home.

I am passionate about promoting physiological birth and a healthy pregnancy. My role is to work in partnership with women and support their informed choices, while helping to create a positive experience on their journey to motherhood. I love to educate and empower women to trust their bodies.

Due to reducing my caseload numbers, I will be prioritising care to primary care, home birthers and return clients. I provide care at Whangārei Hospital as needed.

Continuity of care will be provided throughout pregnancy, labour and birth, and for 4 to 6 weeks postpartum.

I have alternate 3-day weekends off with care provided by my back-up midwife Maran Greenwood.
