Congratulations on your pregnancy! My name is Xiyan (She-Yan/Emma). I qualified as a midwife in Hamilton New Zealand. I worked as a hospital midwife for eighteen months before becoming a community midwife. This enabled me to build confidence in complex situations and be familiar with providing excellent tertiary care.

A little bit about myself: I have been told that I have a pleasant and bubbly personality. I communicate well in English and Mandarin. I am a ‘mother’ to four fur babies. I really enjoy working in my chosen profession.

It would be such a privilege for me to be part of your unique pregnancy journey. I believe that midwifery care is not only clinical skills but also knowing my woman's individual situation, understanding what suits her best and being able to speak up for her is important to me. I would work in partnership with you, share all evidence-based information, empower you, and ensure your voice is heard.
