Congratulations on your pregnancy! My name is Rui. I am a New Zealand trained midwife and working in Counties Manukau. Prior to my self-employment, I worked in different clinical environment from birthing assessment, maternity and antenatal ward in Middlemore Hospital, community midwife at Lambie drive. My working experience enables me to be familiar with the maternity system and all the referral process when it requires. My role as a midwife is to support you and your family throughout pregnancy, child birth and postnatal care. By working together with other medical professionals especially the obstetric team, I will ensure the care for you and your baby is as safe as possible. I am passionate about partnership and continuity of care and provide individualised care plan throughout your pregnancy journey. My backup midwife is Liz Nguyen, we cover each other for every second weekend off. My clinic is at Botany birthing unit on Friday afternoon.
