About me
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Pregnancy, labour and birth, and the first few weeks of parenthood are together one of the most rewarding and sacred times within a woman's life. I believe that pregnancy and childbirth are a normal and physiological process, however with experience working in tertiary (high risk) hospitals; I have been trained to detect if anything deviates from normal and am able to plan care in partnership in order to keep you and your baby safe. I provide individualised, safe and effective woman centered care during pregnancy, labour and birth and up to six weeks postpartum. My role as a midwife is to empower you throughout, providing you with evidence-based practice and knowledge to ensure you can make the right and best decision that suits you and your whānau. I work with a team of midwives in Spreydon within a practice called Pregnancy Matters. I support home births along with births at Oromairaki, Rangiora, Kurawaka and Christchurch Women's Hospital.
