Congratulations on your pregnancy, what exciting news. My aim is to empower women throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. Midwifery is about creating a partnership, together we will negotiate the twists and turns of pregnancy, birth and up to six weeks after your baby has arrived. I support choice, ensuring safe decision making as well as recognising the need for input from other health professionals as required. Childbirth is life changing; as a midwife it is a privilege to support women and their families. I feel my role is to help nurture women to become confident mothers, trusting their innate ability to birth and parent. I have worked the last two years in the Nelson and Tasman areas and prior was an LMC Midwife in West Auckland, supporting women for homebirths, births in birthing units and also within hospital settings.
