My name is Lou Barnard and I have lived in beautiful Tauranga for over 10 years, with my husband and three teenagers aged 19, 16 & 14 years old. I am a new graduate midwife currently in my first year of practice and supported actively by my midwifery mentor and colleagues.

Pregnancy, birth and having a newborn is an exciting journey to be embarking on. As your midwife my aim is to enable you to feel confidant and empowered throughout this journey. I provide support and care from when you first find out you are pregnant until your baby is 4-6 weeks old, working closely with my back-up midwifery partner Kelsey Jamieson.

My philosophy is women centred and based on empowered partnership with informed choice and consent, education and support.
