Kia ora whaanau, congratulations on your pregnancy! My role as a midwife is to care and guide you through your pregnancy, birth, and up to 6 weeks following your birth. I work within a team of 6 midwives who all have the focus on birthing your baby at either Papakura Birthing Unit or home.

I will provide you with the education and resources I can to empower you, and keep you well informed at every stage of your pregnancy journey. I am passionate about working in partnership with you and your whaanau. I understand that you are welcoming me into your sacred space so I am privileged to be involved in your special time. If complications arise during your pregnancy, then I will work in collaboration with the obstetric team and/or other health professionals.

My team and I work closely together to allow for regular time off; alternate weekends and holidays, to ensure that I am able to give you and your whaanau the best care.

My antenatal clinic room is at Papakura Birthing Unit. If you enquire for my care, please confirm that you would like to birth at Papakura Birthing Unit or at home. Please note that I do not book women wishing to birth at Middlemore Hospital. Chat soon, Emma.
