Congratulations!! I am currently in Tonga, but will be back in Sept. I will be available for births through the Dec/Jan holiday season. My 25 years of midwifery experience has shown me that feeling good about your birth depends a lot on the support you receive and the choices you make along the way. I will advocate for you even when you choose not to follow recommendations as long as you are well informed. I want you to know that you are "holding the reins" for your birthing journey and my goal is to respect your preferences in every circumstance. I am a strong advocate for homebirth. I have attended hundreds. I have also presented at homebirth conferences both in New Zealand and in Australia. I am originally from the US and besides NZ, I have lived in Tonga, Cambodia and Mexico. I enjoy taking care of women from various cultural backgrounds and I am a Rainbow ally.
