Megan Jones
About me
Tēnā koutou, my name is Megan and I have worked in New Plymouth Hospital as a hospital midwife and now based in the community as a lead maternity carer (LMC) midwife. I have two children, one was born in the hospital and one born at home. As a midwife I enjoy creating a partnership with birthing people and their whānau in pregnancy, birth, and postnatal periods. It is important you birth where you feel the most comfortable and I have a strong belief in providing care that ensures you feel safe and supported in your choices. A particular interest of mine is home birth and I am happy to support birthing people who wish to birth at home. My hope is by providing individualised care and sharing evidence based information you feel empowered to make informed decisions throughout your journey. My practice partner is Danette Morresey and we work closely together sharing our philosophy of care. If this resonates with you, make contact and we can have a conversation.
You can make contact with me by completing the form below or emailing megan@connectedmidwifery.co.nz. If you could please share the first day/date of your last period, what number baby this is for you, area you live in and share a little bit about yourself. I will get back to you when I can.
Pregnancy visits will be held at
280 Devon Street West, New Plymouth 4310
