My name is Karien, and I have been a midwife for over 28 years. I am part of Ellesmere midwives and I cover Selwyn.

As a dedicated midwife in the Selwyn area, I take great pride in providing exceptional care for women and their families during one of the most beautiful journeys of their lives—bringing a new child into the world. Whether supporting mothers-to-be at the serene Birthing centre at Oromairaki, the well-equipped Christchurch Women's Hospital, or the nurturing environment of Kurawaka in town, my focus is always on ensuring a positive and empowering experience.
